Here are the ingredients and True Fine Wines we had for this Very Special Event”:
- More Than Muse Rosé
- Tanya Ricord Pinot Grigio
- Nile Eddy Pinot Noir
- Donna Walker Cabernet Sauvignon
- Adele Zinfandel
- Ricord Merlot
The opportunity given to sample these various wines, from velvety Reds to crisp Whites, allowed our guests to savor and experience intimately the rich flavors of Fine Wines, meticulously crafted to delight and satisfy.
And then we added the Food!
The Charcuterie Board
This was a choice of Salty Meats: Salami, Pepperoni, and Ham along with Savory Meats. Plain and seasoned Turkey; plain and Seasoned Beef, enhanced with Olives and Capers. Some Jams or Preserves. Nuts; Pecans, Almonds, Cashews. Added to these were Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Honeydew with Kiwi Slices and Apple Slices, especially the Granny Smith and Honeycrisp slices. We highly recommend the Tanya Ricord Pinot Grigio and More Than Muse Rosé.
Appetizers & Starters
Here we had a choice of Caesar or Garden Salads with dressings on the side, as well as Skewered BBQed Shrimp appetizers. Some of us enjoyed the Salad and preferred the Wine to the Dressing needs. It’s true too that a good Blue Cheese or Caesar Dressing can uncover more refined layers of aroma and taste. Try the Nile Eddy Pinot Noir.
Main Dishes
This is where we offered a Fish Dish with a choice of Salmon or Sole. And then a Beef Dish with Choices of Roast to Prime Rib, or Steaks that had been BBQed. A simple Salt and Pepper Seasoning on the Steak allowed the Meat and Wine to blend beautifully with the “Tasting Event.” For these we recommend the Adele Zin and Donna Walker Cabernet Sauvignon.
Dessert
And now for the Crowning Glory: A Rich and Deep “Dark Chocolate” cake, including a chocolate plate, for which Merlot’s Best Pairing ended the feast with a delicious touch of class.
As the Event continued, there were more opportunities to experiment and indulge in a journey of taste and nuanced flavors with the leftover wines.
What a fantastic meal! We discovered that the world of wine is vast and diverse, it has countless varieties. So of course it will take time and experience to acquire the skill that knows what foods to pair with it. However, the journey of discovery will always be rich and fruitful with lifelong satisfaction.
